NEWS & UPDATES

If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies.

How could counselling benefit you?

Counselling can be helpful if you are feeling unhappy, unfulfilled or anxious. Often you may have tried to cope on your own though you find it difficult. Counselling is having a professional relationship, not a friend, and someone to listen to you, no matter what happens. Through counselling you can be supported to find a new direction, possible strategies or develop the skills to deal with demanding situations.

In counselling you will be heard and have someone really listen to you without judgement. Counselling has a specific purpose: to provide an opportunity for you to work towards living a more productive and satisfying life.

Do I need counselling?

This is an important question to ask yourself.

Have you found yourself at a loss, unsure of what to do about a problem recently?

There can be all manner of reasons people seek counselling.

Some of the reasons people seek counselling can be; relationship problems, nobody you can speak openly to, unsure of what the right decision is, working through your grief or loss, making a big decision, the experience of past trauma or abuse , needing debriefing over a specific issue, coping with life transitions and so many other reasons. Most people go through problems at some point that counselling can be helpful for. Life has its fair share of twists and turns!

As far as duration of therapy goes, sometimes counselling will only need to be for a few sessions, other times it may need to be ongoing and it depends on the individual.
